This policy covers how thinjoy treats personal information that thinjoy collects and receives from its users. Personal information is information that can be used to identify and contact you, specifically your name, address, email, payment method (credit card or debit card), telephone number as well as other information.
When you register at our website, we ask you to supply us with personal information so we can provide, enhance and personalize our services for you. We will also use your email address to send you newsletters, updates, special offers, promotional announcements and surveys.

The library, strategies, community features and all related features on thinjoy function as a public space. Any information that you provide can and will be seen by other users. We tried to set the application up in a way that would encourage participation without providing any personal information of active users. We understand that some people feel that dieting and weight are personal and many users might want to use all features of the site and maintain their anonymity. If you would like to keep your anonymity, we would encourage you to pick a screen name, and avatar that is not personally identifiable.
We also give you the control of what parts of your account can be made public on the site. This can be seen on the “public profile” page in the “account” section of the application. If you do not want other users to be able to search for you just click the box at the bottom of this page and no other users will be able to find you, or know that you are using the site.
Children
You must be 18 years old or older to subscribe to thinjoy’s service. We do not seek to collect information from individuals younger than 18 years old nor do we knowingly collect personal information from individuals younger than 18 years old though the service.
Viewing and Updating Your Information on thinjoy
You are responsible for updating and maintaining the truth and accuracy of the personal information you provide to us relating to your account. If you want to update your contact information or change your payment method, you should do so by visiting, the “private settings” page under “account”
Cookies and Other Technology
We place a cookie on your hard drive so that you can access the site quicker without signing in every time you enter the application. You can prevent this by simply not checking the box at login. Cookies in and of themselves do not personally identify users, although they do identify a user’s computer. If your browser is set to not accept cookies, you will not be able to sign in immediately with the use of thinjoy’s cookie.
Unlike other diet sites we do not sell or lease this cookie (other diet sites tag users as being members to a diet program—probably so they can try to sell their members cheesy poofs and other junk when they visit other networks [many of these arrangements allow the diet sites to share sales revenue—so they are profiting from their members weight loss and weight gain simultaneously])
Disclosure of Personal Information
thinjoy does not rent, sell or share personal information about you with other people or non-affiliated companies except to provide products or services that you’ve requested, when we have your permission, or under the following circumstances:
· We respond to subpoenas, court orders, or legal process, or establish or exercise our legal rights or defend against legal claims.
· We believe it is necessary to share information in order to investigate, prevent, or take action regarding illegal activities, suspected fraud, situations involving potential threats to the physical safety of any person, violation of thinjoy’s terms of service, or as otherwise required by law.
· We transfer information about you if thinjoy is acquired by or merged with another company. In this event, thinjoy with notify you before information is transferred and becomes subject to a different privacy policy.
Confidentiality and Security
We limit access to personal information about you to employees who we believe reasonably need to come into contact with that information to provide products or services to you or in order to do their jobs.
